Please follow the instructions listed here prior to your procedure.
After midnight (12am), you may not eat any foods, drink any non-clear fluids or consume any gum, candy, or mints.
You may drink no more than 8 ounces of clear liquids (water, apple juice, tea or coffee WITHOUT cream or sugar) up to 4 hours before your appointment.
You should take your usual medications (i.e. blood pressure, thyroid, heart, unrestricted pain medications – Please see Pre-Procedure Medication Instructions) with sips of water on the morning of your procedure.
You should not take aspirin containing or aspirin-like medications for pain several days prior to your procedure (Please see Pre-Procedure Medication Instructions)
If you have your procedure performed under sedation, you must have an escort to drive you home following your procedure.
If you have your procedure performed under local anesthetic only, you will be required to be monitored for at least one hour following your procedure before being discharged.
If you are Diabetic, please speak with your physician or a staff member regarding your oral medication or your insulin.
If there is ANY CHANCE that you could be pregnant, please notify your physician. The xray and medications used may be harmful to your pregnancy.
